Stories from College

harlo,
Have some stories I've been wanting to tell but haven't found the time to tell it. Was having Sales and negotiations class the other day, it basically teaches you how to promote and sell your hotel ie how many rooms we have, the amenities, the hotel facilities, etc, included in the topic was how to handle complaints brought forward by customers. It was a class roleplay where 2 people were asked to come up infront and be the complainer while the others were the sales people handling the complaint. Somehow my name got called forward to be teh complainer together with another classmate who didn't speak English very well. So yeah, tried "complaining" but my classmates said that it was as if I was telling a story. The other guy and I got called up the following week to be the complainers again, so reluctantly we went up. We did our best with complaining, and there came a moment where one ouf our classmates proposed quite a good solution to the complaint. The lecturer looked at the both of us and said "Jump on her!" ie complain back.. I knew what she meant and delayed time by asking "Jump?" and the lecturer said "Jump.." so the both of us.. jumped on the spot.. haha the class found it so funny that by the next day, the news had already spread to the other groups. One of my Indonesian friends came up to me and said "I heard someone jumped yesterday?"
Another story happenned about 3 weeks ago.. was having a late class that ended at 6pm. The class was 4 hours long, starting at 2pm. At around 4pm, the fire alarm went off. Lecturer said that was false and decided to continue lessons as usual. The alarm went on for another 15 minutes, the lecturer called the office and found out there was actually a fire. Rumours said that the Kitchen was on fire, another rumour was that the restaurant downstairs was on fire. Anyway, evaquated from the 9th floor out of the 10 floored building, down the stairs all the way out to the road. Kurnia building surprisingly holds alot of people, when we got out, there were at least 500-800 people and there were still more coming out.. I always thought that it was quite abandoned. The funny part was you could tell who were students and who weren't. Students came out in Kitchen clothing or restaurant outfits.. haha, so you can see in one corner, bunched up, people still wearing chef's cap.. and holding their knife sets. Working people were usually in coats carrying canggih bags. In the end, the fire was in the basement carpark, think a Myvi burnt down or sooommeething like that.. No fire truck though.. just police cars.. haha
First time had an evaquation where there really was a fire.. It was also nice because we went home at around 5:15pm
